“The roller mechanism on our existing net broke. They replaced it with a new upgraded system that rolls smoother and locks in place better. Much better than the original.”

Mangroves, wind and high floors
Mangroves still line parts of the island's shore, and calm water nearby suits mosquitoes. An open balcony door at dusk is how most of them get in.
Wind is stronger on high floors. Fold a pleated screen into its cassette on a gusty day. On a sliding screen, reinforced mesh at AED 600 per m² holds up better.
Is your balcony door ready for a screen?
Does your balcony door slide open?
A pleated or sliding screen fits inside the frame.

Questions
What people ask
How much is a mosquito net for a balcony door on Al Reem?+
A pleated screen is AED 1,550 per door and a sliding screen starts from AED 670. It is the same price list we use in Dubai.
Can I fit a screen in a rented flat?+
Yes, with the landlord's consent. The frame is screwed into the door opening, so the owner should agree before the visit.
Will the mesh cope with wind on a high floor?+
On a normal day the magnetic catch holds a pleated screen closed. On a strong wind day, fold the mesh into its cassette.
How soon can a measurer come to Al Reem?+
About 30 minutes after you book. If your tower needs a contractor permit, we agree the time with you and the building first.
Will the screen hide my view of the water?+
Folded, a pleated screen sits in a slim cassette at the side. Closed, you look through fine mesh with a 0.8 × 0.8 mm cell.
How long until the screen is fitted?+
3 to 5 days from survey to fitting. The frame carries a 5 year warranty.
