What is built here
The island is dense high-rise building with typical flats. There are balconies almost everywhere, the exit onto them is sliding, and panoramic glazing is the standard.
Height sets the main requirement. On the upper floors the wind off the water never stops, and it arrives unobstructed, because what surrounds the island is open water rather than other quarters. A screen on a balcony door here has to sit in a deep channel, or the fabric gets pushed out.
Second: down below, by the waterfronts and green areas, insects are active in the evening. The difference between the third floor and the thirtieth is more noticeable here than in mainland building.
Third: the island is new, the window profiles are modern and standard, and fixings are chosen without difficulty. That simplifies the work compared with older stock.
Fourth: the balconies are often narrow with an air-conditioning unit in the corner. Where the cassette will sit is determined at the survey, and it is the commonest reason for remaking a screen ordered blind.
