A hinged screen door is a mosquito mesh door in a stiff aluminium frame that swings on hinges beside your main door. Walk through, let go, and the closer pulls it shut while magnetic catches hold it. How a hinged screen door works
The mesh sits in a stiff aluminium frame hung on hinges, on the side your main door does not swing to. The glass door can stay open all day behind it.
Push through, let go, and the closer brings the screen back. Magnetic catches hold it shut, a handle sits on both sides, and there is no floor track underfoot.

Will a hinged screen door fit?
Does your main door swing open on hinges?
Good. The screen door hangs on the other face of the frame and swings the opposite way.
For sliding glass, look at a sliding or pleated screen: they follow the glass instead.
Is there clear floor space for a leaf to open on the screen side?
The screen opens into it. The measurer checks steps and planters in its path.
A pleated screen folds to the side and needs no swing room.
Is the opening two door leaves wide?
Two hinged screen doors meet in the middle on magnets, as on French doors.
One leaf covers it, hinged on the side you choose.

Which way your main door opens and where its handle sits, so the screen hinges go on the side that never clashes.

Room for the leaf to open, the floor level at the threshold, and any step or planter in the way.

Shamal, sand and screen door care
In a shamal a light screen door bangs. The closer and magnetic catches keep ours shut, and a busy kitchen door gets a stiffer profile that stays square.
Brush dust off the mesh with a soft brush, oil the hinges once a year and tighten the handle if it works loose. Torn mesh is replaced in the old frame from AED 200.

No. A magnetic curtain is a soft net that parts as you walk through, and we do not make or fit them. Ours has a rigid frame and a closer.
