These are the questions we are asked most often — on the phone, over WhatsApp and at the survey. The answers are short; where more detail helps, there is a link to the page or article that carries it.
01Choosing a type
How pleated, sliding, roll-up and magnetic systems differ, and which of them will actually fit your opening.
02Survey and lead time
Why we do not quote over the phone, what the free survey covers and how long it takes from enquiry to fitting.
03Looking after the mesh
What to do about Dubai dust, whether a screen survives a cat, and how it behaves on a high floor.
04Repair and warranty
What two years of warranty cover, when a repair beats a replacement and how long the fabric lasts.
05Special cases
Pigeons on the balcony, non-standard openings and work beyond Dubai.
Start with the opening, not with the type of screen
Half of all disappointing orders start with somebody picking the mechanism they liked rather than the one their window takes. Look first at how the sash opens and how often you open it — after that most of the options rule themselves out.
The openings have their own pages: screens for windows, for doors and for balconies. Each one goes through the systems that work there and what separates them.
What the price includes, and why we do not quote by phone
Every screen is built to the size of the opening, so the price comes from the area, the mechanism, the mesh and the colour of the profile. Two flats in the same tower can differ noticeably, and a figure given over the phone almost never matches the final one.
The survey is free across all seven emirates and you never need to come to the office: the whole order runs through the surveyor. The price covers manufacture to size, fitting and a 2-year warranty. For a rough figure, use the calculator on the page of the mechanism you are considering.
We hold the price back until the survey for one reason: a one-centimetre error devalues the whole purchase, and half an hour on site costs less than a reworked frame.
What we will not take on
Fixed glazing with no opening sash: there is nothing to fix the mesh to from inside and no way to service it from outside. We say so at the survey rather than fitting something that falls apart in a season.
Repairing the windows themselves is not us either — that is another company in the group, the one we share an office with. We make and repair screens only, including ones somebody else fitted.
