A sliding mosquito net is a mesh panel in an aluminium frame that runs on its own line beside your glass door or window. You slide the glass open, pull the screen across, and air comes in while mosquitoes stay out. Prices start from AED 380 per window and AED 670 per door, made to measure.

How a sliding mosquito net works
The mesh sits in a light aluminium frame on bottom rollers and a top guide. It runs on its own line beside the glass leaf, so glass and screen never touch.
Many aluminium doors and windows in Dubai have a spare channel for a screen. When the view matters, the screen parks behind the fixed glass. A brush seal closes the gap at the jamb.

Good start. A sliding screen follows the same movement as your glass.
For a door that swings, look at a hinged screen door or a pleated screen.
Is there a spare channel or a flat strip of frame beside the glass?
The screen gets its own line there. Send a photo of the track and we confirm it before the visit.
Send a photo anyway. Without that space a pleated screen with a low track is usually the better fit.
Do you walk through this door many times a day, or with a pram?

When a sliding screen is the wrong choice
We would rather tell you before the survey than after.
Hinged or French doors
They swing, so there is no track to share. Take a hinged screen door, or a pair of them.
No room beside the glass
Without a channel or a flat strip the panel has nowhere to run. A pleated screen fits more frames.
You open the door dozens of times a day
Sliding two panels each time gets tiring. A pleated screen or a hinged door is easier to live with.
Sand, care and repair
After a shamal the bottom track fills with fine sand, and grit under the rollers makes the screen drag or jump off. Vacuum the track and wipe it with a damp cloth.
Rollers and the brush seal wear with use. We replace them, fit new mesh from AED 200 per screen and a new handle for AED 50. On high floors reinforced mesh copes better with wind.

Is a sliding fly screen the same as a pleated one?+
No. Some companies call a pleated screen in its own track a sliding fly screen. Ours is a flat mesh panel on rollers; a pleated screen folds like an accordion and costs AED 1,550 per balcony door.
Can a sliding screen cover a floor to ceiling patio door?+
Yes. Each screen is made to the height of your door, and very wide openings get two panels that meet in the middle.
Are sliding screens reliable with Dubai dust and sand?+
Yes, if the track is vacuumed when sand builds up. Grit under the rollers is what makes a screen drag, and cleaning the track fixes most of it.
Sliding or pleated screen for a balcony door?+
Sliding costs less and suits a door you open now and then. Pleated folds away with a low flat track and suits a door you walk through all day.
My sliding screen came off the track. Can you fix it?+
Usually yes. Send a short video on WhatsApp. Most often it is sand under the rollers or a worn roller, which we replace.
Do you fit sliding screens in Abu Dhabi?+
