Mosquito nets for bifold doors
A bifold door folds its glass into a stack, so its mosquito net has to cover the whole opening and fold away as well. That is a pleated screen: Double Centra with two panels meeting in the middle, from AED 1,550, or Proxima as one long panel up to 8 m wide, priced after the free survey.

Why bifold doors take pleated screens
When a bifold opens, its glass leaves fold into a stack at one or both ends. A hinged screen door would hit that stack, and the frame has no spare channel for a sliding screen.
A pleated screen sits inside the frame on the side the glass does not fold to. It gathers into a slim cassette at the jamb and leaves the full width free to walk through.

The screen goes on the room side of the frame.
They fold into the room, so the screen goes on the terrace side.
Does the glass stack at both ends of the opening?
Double Centra: two panels, each folding back towards its own end.

What we check on a bifold
Fold direction and stack
Which way the glass folds, where it stacks, and how deep the stack sits.
Threshold
Flush, stepped or with a raised sill. The pleated track needs a flat strip to sit on.
Height and width
They decide the PVL profile: a tall opening trades some width for height.
Terrace side
Where wind and sand come from, to suggest the mesh for that side.
Pool, sand and wind at the bifold
The track between the living room and the pool deck collects sand and leaves. Vacuum it when grit builds up and the screen keeps a light pull across the whole width.
In a shamal fold the screen into its cassette. On the windward side, anti dust mesh at AED 800 per m² holds back more fine dust than standard mesh, with a little less breeze.

A bare flush threshold
The pleated screen needs its bottom track. It is low and flat, but it is there.
A very tall opening
Height costs width. Above 3 m, Proxima with mesh overlap covers 6 m wide at up to 4 m high.
Two bifolds meeting at a corner
With no post at the corner, one long panel will not turn it. The Corner system closes both sides.

What is a bifold fly screen?+
