Mosquito mesh types and prices
Mosquito mesh is the fabric inside the screen, and it decides what stays outside. Standard fibreglass at AED 400 per m² suits most Dubai windows. Reinforced mesh is AED 600, anti-glare AED 650, anti-dust and pet AED 800, blackout AED 1,050 per m². Pollen filter and ultra-view mesh are priced after the free survey.

Sun, sand and sea air in Dubai
Fibreglass and polyester meshes have no metal in them, so salt air on a JBR, Marina or Palm balcony does not rust them. A rinse with fresh water now and then keeps the salt off.
We fit metal and aluminium mesh only when we re-mesh an old frame, at AED 300 and AED 350 per screen. They show more from inside and need more care near the sea.

What no mosquito mesh will do
Three limits we explain at every survey.
Stop a break-in
Reinforced mesh takes knocks, but it is an insect mesh. Security screens with stainless wire and a lock are not on our price list.
Hold a falling pet or child
Pet mesh stops claws, not a body falling against it. Keep high windows locked.
Clean the air
Dense mesh holds part of the dust at an open window. It does not replace an air purifier or shut glass in a storm.

Which mosquito mesh is best for Dubai?+
Standard fibreglass for most windows. Add anti-dust on the shamal side, pet mesh where a cat or dog reaches and reinforced mesh on doors used all day.
What is the difference between standard and fine insect mesh?+
Fine mesh has a denser weave for insects smaller than mosquitoes. On our list that is anti-dust mesh at AED 800 per m²; standard is AED 400 and passes more air.
Is fly screen mesh the same as mosquito mesh?+
Yes. Fly screen, insect screen and mosquito net are names for the same product in Dubai. The mesh inside decides what it keeps out.
What mesh copes with sea air?+
Fibreglass. It has nothing to rust, so it suits Marina, JBR and Palm balconies. Metal and aluminium mesh need rinsing and show more from inside.
Can a mesh cut sun glare as well as insects?+
Yes. Anti-glare mesh at AED 650 per m² softens low sun and keeps insects out. For a dark room, blackout mesh is AED 1,050 per m².
Does a denser mesh block too much air?+
It passes less than standard. That is why we fit dense mesh only on the openings that need it and keep standard on the rest.
Can I mix meshes in one home?+
Yes. Each screen gets its own mesh and its own rate per m², so pet mesh on the living room and standard in the bedrooms is a normal order.
