Proxima pleated mosquito screen
PVL Proxima is the pleated mosquito screen for the widest openings in a Dubai villa: lift-and-slide doors, sliding glass walls and sliding folding doors. With the PVL 39 profile it covers up to 8 m in width. We price it after the free survey. A standard patio door is AED 1,550 on our price list.
Why wide villa openings need Proxima
Many villas in Emirates Hills, Dubai Hills and Arabian Ranches open the living room to the garden through sliding glass. Uno and Centra stop at 3.5 m, so a wider span needs another system.
Proxima shares its size limits with Double Centra: up to 8 m. On top of wide sliding doors, it is listed for lift-and-slide doors, sliding folding doors and tilt-and-turn windows.
The screen stays folded while the family walks out to the pool all day, then closes across the whole wall at dusk, when mosquitoes come up from the watered lawns.

The tallest option is 4 m high at up to 6 m wide. The full 8 m width comes with a height of up to 3 m or 3.15 m. The ratio of the two decides.

An ordinary balcony door
Uno or Centra reach 3.5 m. On a balcony or patio door they cost AED 1,550 per door on our price list.
Two glass sides meeting with no post
Two sides meeting at a corner are a job for the Corner system, not one long panel.
Glass taller than 4 m
The tallest Proxima is 4 m high. For double-height glass, send a photo and we look at a motorised screen instead.

How much does Proxima cost?+
The price is set at the free survey, because it depends on the width, the height and the profile. For comparison, a pleated screen on a standard patio door is AED 1,550 on our price list.
What is the widest opening Proxima can close?+
Up to 8 m with PVL 39 or PVL 29 without mesh overlap, at a height of up to 3 m and 3.15 m.
Proxima or Double Centra for an 8 m glass wall?+
Both reach 8 m. Double Centra closes with two panels in the middle, while Proxima is also listed for lift-and-slide, sliding folding and tilt-and-turn frames. The measurer goes through both on site.
Can I clean it without taking it down?+
Yes. Vacuum the folds and the bottom track, then wipe the mesh with a damp sponge. After a dusty shamal do it a little more often.
Does Proxima fit a lift-and-slide door?+
