A pet-proof mosquito screen puts thick pet mesh, which holds up to cat and dog claws, into a frame or screen door fixed firmly to the opening. It costs AED 800 per m² from our price list. It keeps insects out and stops pets shredding the screen, but it is not a fall barrier.

What makes a mosquito screen pet-proof
Pet mesh is woven from a coated yarn much thicker than standard fibreglass. A claw slides over it instead of hooking a thread, and mosquitoes and flies still stay out.
A cat that leans on a screen pushes on the frame too. So the frame has to sit on firm fixings, and the measurer checks your window or door frame for them.

How much is a pet proof mosquito screen in Dubai?+
Pet mesh is AED 800 per m² from our price list. A 0.5 m² kitchen window comes to AED 400, and the free survey confirms the size.
Can my cat still tear a cat proof screen?+
No mesh is fully claw-proof. Pet mesh stands up to everyday clawing and pushing far better than standard fibreglass.
Pet mesh or reinforced mesh for a dog?+
Pet mesh. Reinforced mesh is made for hands and wind, and a claw still tears it.
Will a pet screen stop my cat falling from a high floor?+
No. No mosquito screen is a fall barrier. Keep the window closed or on a restrictor when the cat is alone.
Can a pleated screen take pet mesh?+
Our pleated screens fold their own thin mesh with a 0.8 × 0.8 mm cell, not made for claws. For a door the pet uses, take a hinged or sliding screen with pet mesh.
Does pet mesh spoil the view or the breeze?+
It is a little darker and slightly less airy than standard because the yarn is thicker. You still see out clearly.
My cat shredded the old net. Can you put pet mesh in the same frame?+
Often, yes. Send a photo on WhatsApp; if the frame is straight and firmly fixed, the measurer names the price for new pet mesh.
