A custom shape mosquito screen is a fixed aluminium frame made to the exact outline of an odd window: an arch, a sloped or a trapezoid top. Only the part that opens needs one. Pleated, sliding and roller screens need a rectangle, so they cannot follow a curve. Each shape is priced after the free survey.

Screen only the part that opens
Many arched and sloped windows are fixed glass on top with a normal rectangular sash below. Fixed glass lets no mosquitoes in, so only that sash needs a screen, and a plain one will do.
A shaped screen is needed when the shaped part itself opens: an arched casement, a sloped sash on the stairs, a window under the roof that swings open.

Limits of shaped mosquito screens
Some shapes and systems do not mix.
Pleated screens are rectangles only
They fold along straight guides, so they cannot follow an arch. Arched openings get a fixed frame.
A shaped frame does not open
It stays in place like any fixed screen. To clean the glass behind it, you lift it out.
Very tight curves and small rounds
Not every curve can be followed by a frame. Send a photo and we say so before the survey.
Care for a shaped screen in Dubai
Arched windows often sit high on a stairwell and collect fine dust after a shamal. Lift the frame out, rinse the mesh with lukewarm water and let it dry upright in the shade.
If the mesh tears and the frame is sound, we put new mesh into the same shaped frame: from AED 200 with standard mesh, AED 300 metal, AED 350 aluminium.

How much is a custom mosquito screen in Dubai?+
It is priced after the free survey, once the shape is measured. The mesh is charged at our list rate, from AED 400 per m² for standard mesh.
Can you make a pleated screen for an arched window?+
No. A pleated screen folds along straight parallel guides, so it only works in a rectangle. For an arch we make a fixed frame to its shape.
Do I need a screen on the fixed arch above my window?+
No. Glass that does not open lets no insects in. Screen only the part that opens.
Do you make screens for round, triangle or octagon windows?+
Ask for your shape. Send a photo on WhatsApp to 050 877 2632, and we tell you before the survey whether a frame can follow it.
Can a roller or sliding screen follow a sloped top?+
No. A roll and a sliding panel both need straight parallel edges. A sloped window gets a fixed frame made to the slope.
Can the shaped frame match my window colour?+
Yes. The profile is powder coated in the RAL colour of your window frames; a special colour costs AED 250 per running metre.
How do I clean a shaped screen?+
Lift the frame out, rinse the mesh with lukewarm water, dry it upright in the shade and put it back.
