“The roller mechanism on our existing net broke. They replaced it with a new upgraded system that rolls smoother and locks in place better. Much better than the original.”

Glass door screens for Saadiyat Island villas
Saadiyat homes are mostly beach and lagoon villas with wide sliding glass to the garden and pool. That glass takes pleated mosquito screens made for big spans: Double Centra and Proxima. A patio door is AED 1,550 per door, wider walls are priced once measured. Send photos on WhatsApp and the measurer comes about 30 minutes after you book.

Beach, lagoons and the Louvre
Saadiyat lies about 500 metres off Abu Dhabi island and is home to the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Most homes are villas by the beach or in Saadiyat Lagoons, which Aldar built among protected mangroves.
Hawksbill turtles nest on Saadiyat Beach, so the dunes stay wild. Villas open onto gardens and pools through long runs of sliding glass.

Straight answers
Where pleated screens need care
Wide pleated mesh is light, and that has limits.
Strong wind off the sea
On a gusty day fold the mesh into its cassette. The magnetic catch holds in a breeze, not in a storm.
A dog that jumps at the glass
Pleated mesh does not take pet fabric. Pet mesh in a hinged frame suits that door.
Glass taller than the chart
Above the limits we split the opening or suggest a motorised screen.

Questions
What people ask
How wide can a pleated mosquito screen go on Saadiyat glass?+
Proxima on the PVL 39 profile goes up to 8.0 m wide at 3.0 m high. At full width the height is lower, so the measurer checks your glass first.
How much is a screen for a villa glass wall?+
One patio door costs AED 1,550, French doors from AED 810. Wide walls and corners are priced once measured.
Will the screen spoil the view to the garden?+
When folded, the mesh sits inside a slim cassette at the side, so the glass stays clear.
Does salt air from the beach damage the frame?+
No. The profile is powder coated aluminium, which does not rust. Rinse the mesh and wipe the track now and then.
How soon can a measurer come to Saadiyat?+
About 30 minutes after you book. Send photos and rough sizes of the glass so the measurer brings the right samples.
What warranty do the screens have?+
5 years on the frame, 2 years on the mechanism and 2 years on fitting. Fitting follows 3 to 5 days after the survey.
