Khor Al Beidah is a tidal wetland of mangroves and mudflats. Siniya Island lies across the bay from the city centre, joined to the mainland by a bridge, and Sobha builds villas there.
The rest of the emirate is mostly low-rise. Mangroves and tidal flats next to gardens bring mosquitoes at dusk, so ground floor doors come first.
