What Dubai changes
Villa gardens are irrigated, and in a dry climate irrigation is what sustains insects. That is why a villa with mature planting has a livelier evening than a bare plot at the same distance from the city, and why the mesh conversation here is usually about aperture rather than mechanism.
The second factor is open space. Villas stand apart with air moving between them, and on wide garden doors a light construction starts slapping. Deep guides and stiff sections matter more here than on a sheltered balcony.
The third is scale. A villa has enough openings that pricing them one at a time costs meaningfully more than pricing the house. It is also the reason we try to bring everything in one visit rather than spreading fitting across days.
One planning point: if motorised or automatic screens are on the list, decide during the fit-out. Running power to a stairwell window afterwards turns a screen order into building work.

Common ordering mistakes
Choosing one system for the whole house. It is the single most expensive mistake here, because it guarantees the wrong answer in at least two rooms.
Leaving automation until after the decoration is finished. The cable then has to be chased into finished walls, and that can cost more than the screens.
Screening openings nobody uses. Most villas have windows that are never opened, and they do not need anything.
Ordering the panoramic door without checking where the folded leaves park. On a bi-fold the cassette cannot share that corner, and it is checked on site in seconds.
A villa rarely needs one screen: four different openings are four different problems, not one bulk order.
Common questions
Can you price the whole house at once?
Yes, and it works out cheaper than opening by opening. That is how we prefer to survey a villa.
How do I cover a bi-fold?
Pleated across the full span, or motorised. A bi-fold opens completely, so covering it in sections leaves posts in the way.
When should I think about automation?
During the fit-out. Afterwards the cabling becomes a separate building job.
Do I have to screen everything?
No. Screen what you open. In most villas that is fewer openings than the plan suggests.
Can you match the profile to my windows?
