We are based in Damac Hills 2, at Victoria 327, so this is the community we know best. Owners here mostly screen the sliding door to the back garden and the bedroom windows. Mesh starts from AED 400 per m². For the patio door we fit a pleated screen at AED 1,550 per door, and the survey is free.

Why Damac Hills 2 homes need screens
Damac Hills 2, first sold as Akoya Oxygen, lies off Al Qudra Road on the desert side of Dubai. Open sand around it brings fine dust on windy days.
DAMAC split the community into 26 clusters of villas and townhouses, set around parks, the Malibu Beach wave pool and a lazy river. Watered lawns keep the evenings green, and mosquitoes stay close to the houses.

A gap under the door
If the door seal is worn, insects crawl in under the leaf. A screen covers the opening, not a gap in the door.
Sand in the pleats
In a shamal, fine sand settles in the folds. Keep a pleated screen folded during the storm and brush it out after.
A big dog at the door
Standard mesh will not hold a dog that jumps at it. Pet-proof mesh is made for that job.
