“The roller mechanism on our existing net broke. They replaced it with a new upgraded system that rolls smoother and locks in place better. Much better than the original.”

Mosquito nets in Dubai Silicon Oasis
Dubai Silicon Oasis sits where the Dubai to Al Ain road meets Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, with desert around it. Homes here get fine sand as well as mosquitoes, so anti-dust mesh at AED 800 per m² is worth a look. Standard screens start from AED 400 per m², sliding balcony door screens from AED 670.

A technology park with homes
Silicon Oasis is a free zone of 7.2 km² with a technology park, apartment buildings and villa communities such as Cedre Villas.
Open desert around the district means sand in the air whenever the wind picks up. Fine grit settles on sills and passes through standard mesh, which is made to stop insects, not dust.

Straight answers
What anti-dust mesh cannot do
Clean the air
It holds back grit but it is not an air purifier. On a dusty day the glass should stay shut.
Let in as much breeze
The finer weave slows the air a little. In a small room, keep one window on standard mesh.
Look after itself
It clogs sooner than standard mesh. Rinse it with plain water now and then in the dusty months.
