Downtown Dubai has two kinds of homes: glass towers around Burj Khalifa and the low-rise Old Town. In the towers only a small part of the glass opens, so a fixed frame mosquito screen from AED 400 per m² often does the job. Old Town balcony doors take pleated screens at AED 1,550 per door.

Two kinds of home in one district
Emaar built Downtown on about 2 square kilometres around Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain and the 3.5 km boulevard. Most homes are flats in towers with long walls of glass.
The Old Town section follows an older Arabic style with low-rise buildings. Its flats sit low, close to gardens and the lake of the Dubai Fountain, so balcony doors and windows both need screens.

Which screen suits a tower window that opens only a little?+

Standard mesh is fine and dark, so the eye looks through it. A roller screen can be rolled out of sight.
