The spring mechanism sets the main limitation, which is width. The wider the sheet, the stronger the spring has to be and the less evenly it pulls at the edges. Common questions
Why does it wind up crooked?
Either the sheet is too wide for the spring or there is sand in the cassette. The second is fixable by cleaning.
