Sun, sand and wind on a Dubai terrace
After a shamal, fine sand settles in side tracks and bottom guides. Rinse them before you run a screen, and roll or fold everything up while a sandstorm blows.
Standard mesh gives little shade. On the sunny side, blackout mesh at AED 1,050 per m² cuts the glare; anti-dust mesh at AED 800 per m² suits the windward side.
