Mosquito screens for tilt-and-turn windows
Fit the mosquito screen on the outside of the frame. A tilt-and-turn sash swings and tips inward, so anything mounted inside would block it. Two options work: a fixed frame screen from AED 400 per m², or a pleated PVL Uno that slides open sideways, priced after the free survey.

Where the mosquito screen sits
The sash of a tilt-and-turn window works two ways: it tips in at the top for air, or turns on its side hinges like a door. Both moves happen on the room side.
That leaves the outer face of the frame free. The screen is fitted there, so you tilt, turn and close the sash without ever touching it.
On a high floor the measurer checks from inside that the outer face of the frame can be reached safely.

Height and width limit each other, so the final size depends on their ratio. The measurer chooses the profile for your window.

Where an outside screen is awkward
The outer position has trade-offs.
Washing the outer glass
Open the sash and lift a fixed frame out from inside. With a pleated Uno, slide the mesh aside instead.
A narrow frame edge
Too little frame outside the sash may leave no room for a pleated cassette. A fixed frame fits where Uno does not.
A face you cannot reach
If the outer face of the frame is out of reach from inside, the measurer suggests another way to screen the window.

Can I still tilt the window with the screen fitted?+
Yes. The screen is on the outer face of the frame, so the sash tilts and turns freely on the room side.
