A sloping or overhead window differs from a vertical one because gravity acts across the fabric rather than along it. An ordinary roll-up screen on a ceiling simply sags in the middle. So here the fabric runs in closed side guides that hold it along its whole length rather than only at the ends.
Second, maintenance. A vertical window can take a ladder once a year for washing. A window at double-height cannot, and that has to be accepted before ordering. The practical consequence: openings like these get fabric that clogs more slowly, and you plan on washing it every few years with a lift.
Third, power. A supply for the motor at height is normally run during the fit-out. If the walls are finished, that becomes separate work with chasing, and it can cost more than the screen itself. We say so at the survey rather than at the end.
Fourth, end positions. On a sloping window the motor is set so the fabric stops short of the frame. Otherwise it knocks against the profile and the edge wears within a season.
