No. In Dubai a fly screen and a mosquito net are the same thing: a mesh fitted to a window or door to keep insects out. British English says fly screen, others say mosquito net. What really differs is the mesh and how the screen opens. Standard mesh costs from AED 400 per m².

Why one product has two names
Fly screen is the British and Australian word. Americans say insect screen or window screen. Mosquito net is what people often type when the bites start.
In a Dubai home all of them mean the same product. A mesh that stops a mosquito stops a housefly too, because the mosquito is the smaller insect.

What really makes mosquito screens differ
Two things: the mesh and the system. The mesh decides what stays out. Our pleated mesh has a 0.8 × 0.8 mm cell, fine enough for mosquitoes and small flies.
The system decides how you use the opening. A fixed frame stays put, a pleated screen folds sideways, a roller rolls up into a cassette, a hinged door swings.
