The Ajman corniche is a waterfront line of residential buildings looking onto the gulf. The sea is directly opposite, and everything to do with a screen here is decided by salt, humidity and open wind.

What is built here
The building is blocks along the waterfront, some ageing and some new. The balconies and windows face the water.
Salt works all year. It settles together with the moisture and slowly destroys cheap hardware: rollers lose their travel, catches stop holding, fixings seize. Fibreglass fabric takes it calmly, but fades in direct sun on the exposed side.
Second: the wind off the gulf arrives unobstructed. Light constructions do not hold on a balcony, and a magnetic screen tears away along the edge.
Third: sand off the beach is added to the salt. The fabric needs washing more often, and a fine aperture clogs sooner.
Fourth: in the evening there are more insects by the water than inland, especially in still weather.

Honestly: by the water the right conversation starts with the hardware and the fixing, not with the type of screen.
Getting to you
Access to the buildings is usually unrestricted and flagging the visit is enough. Parking along the waterfront can be full in the evening and at weekends.

The waterfront has a timing quirk: in the evening and at weekends parking along the corniche is completely full and pulling up with materials is hard. We try to put visits here in the morning. If your building is on the front line, say so: the approach there differs from the inner streets.
What breaks here most often
On the waterfront the metal gives first: seized rollers, catches that have lost their travel, corroded fixings. Second is fabric faded on the exposed sunny side. Third are fixings worked loose by the wind off the gulf. The combination of salt, sun and wind is harsher here than in any other district of Ajman.
